The Belo Horizonte International Airport has just won the renewal of the Airport Health Accreditation certification, Credenciamento de Saúde Aeroportuária (free translation), from the Airport Council International (ACI). The entity assessed the health measures adopted to promote the safety of passengers, visitors and the entire airport community against Covid-19. The airport had already obtained certification in 2021 and, now, after verifying a series of actions, received the renewal of the document.
The certification was granted after a careful assessment of all the initiatives carried out by the airport since the start of the pandemic, in March 2020. It was confirmed that the airport provides a safe experience for all travelers, which is in accordance with the health measures recommended in the past. Guidelines for the Resumption and Recovery of Aviation Businesses, from the ACI, and the Force-Tarefa for the Recovery of Aviation from the Council of the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO).

Belo Horizonte International Airport, in Confins, was awarded the carbon emissions accreditation, level 2, through the Airport Council International (ACI) program. The airport is, therefore, the first in Brazil to be recognized for its efforts to put into practice actions to reduce sources of greenhouse gas emissions, considered the main culprit in global warming.
ABH Airport won an award for Excellence in Integrated Management of Occupational Health and Safety, Quality and Environment at the Compliance Brazil Award 2019 ceremony, held by Verde Ghaia. Such excellence in management increases market AND public confidence in companies, whatever the industry.
Now on its fourth edition, the Award recognizes good practices and legal control adopted by the companies that have made the most efforts to achieve excellence in management. In all, more than 2 thousand medium-sized and large organizations from all over the country competed for the honors in ten categories including environment; health and safety; food safety; energy; quality; social responsibility and integrated management.
BH International Airport is the first in Brazil to be recognized for its efforts to identify the sources of greenhouse gas emissions, considered the main culprit in global warming. The BH Airport concession holder received level 1 carbon emission accreditation (mapping) through the Airport Council International (ACI) program, as well as certification by ISO 14.064 (Greenhouse Gas Emissions) standard.
BH International Airport was the only one in Latin America and the Caribbean to be recognized by ACI World, an organization representing all the airports in the world, for best performance in the evolution of service provision quality in 2017. The ASQ award is part of a program evaluating passengers' perception and experience of traveling, using 34 performance indicators. The program covers 74% of the world's 100 busiest airports. In 2017, 343 airports took part and 600 thousand questionnaires were administered in 84 countries and 42 languages. At Belo Horizonte International Airport, 1,400 passengers took part in the survey.
BH International Airport was ranked 4th of the most punctual Airports in the world, in the category between 5 million and 10 million passengers/year, with a rate of 88.49%, and achieved 1st place overall among the main airports in Brazil. The survey was released by OAG, a British consultancy that analyzes airport performance worldwide. According to the 2016 Punctuality League Report, the evaluation criteria consider the companies according to the categories: very large (handling over 22 million passengers per year); large (between 10 and 20 million); medium-sized (between 5 and 10 million) and small (between 2.5 and 5 million).
